These pictures where shot approximately every hour from 6.30 in the morning until just before sunset, looking towards the east. The colour temperature is warmer at either end of the day giving a more pleasing warm colour cast with longer shadows giving more texture to the landscape. Do not forget to also note the angle of the shadows and that they fall in a different place with the movement of the sun My preference if for the light at either end of the day and this light can be used in order to provide more depth and warmth to the subject. Light in the middle of the day can often be harsh and uninteresting and is my least favourite part of the day to work especially on a summers day.
